Advisory Partners

John H. Hancock

Mr. Hancock serves as Strategic Capital Adviser's (SCA) President. He has 18 years consulting experience and joined SCA in 2000. Prior to joining SCA, he was President of Hancock Financial Planning. Mr. Hancock holds the CFP® certification. Mr. Hancock is a member of SCA's Investment Committee.

Jonathan D. Ahalt

Mr. Ahalt serves as Principal for SCA. Prior to joining SCA in 2000, he completed his Masters Degree in Finance from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. He was a member of the Marsico Fund investment team at Daniels. Mr. Ahalt is a member of SCA's Investment Committee.

Mark A. Hauserman

Mark serves as both Principal and Investment Strategist at SCA. Beginning in 2001, Mark joined SCA under a one year internship that evolved into full time employment in 2002. In 2005, he moved to London and joined British Telecommunications in the operations and IT departments. He re-joined SCA in 2009. He has a Masters in Business from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. He is a CFA Charterholder. Mr. Hauserman is a member of SCA's Investment Committee.

Andrew F. Kennedy

Mr. Kennedy serves as an Advisor for SCA and manages all of the relationships for the Professional Athlete's Services division. Mr. Kennedy played basketball at the University of Virginia from 1985-1988. Upon graduating from UVA he was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers. After one year in the NBA he played professionally overseas for 16 years, including 12 years in Israel. Since retiring four years ago, he has helped many players and coaches in the U.S. and International basketball community develop investment strategies.

Vincent D. Kalbach

Mr. Kalbach serves as an Advisor for SCA, focusing primarily on financial and wealth management solutions for individuals, families and business owners. He has over 11 years experience as a financial adviser and holds the designation of Graduate Estate Planning Consultant.

Thomas W. Ashcraft

Mr. Ashcraft serves as an Adviser for SCA and manages the Defined Contribution Plan Advisory Service. Mr. Ashcraft holds the CFP® certification. He has 21 years of consulting experience. He has served as chairman of the Financial Planners' Association (FPA), and consulted in private practice prior to joining SCA.
